Courses Overview

Understanding the following courses provides not only the current but prospective students as well as the teachers with opportunities to examine holistic Islamic education taught at our facility.

Here we have put together brief description of each of the 3 subjects we teach at Darul Quran:

ARABIC:

The subject that plays a pivotal role in our youth’s education; Arabic is taught from Level Zainab and is integrated all the way to the highest level. Our goal is to equip our students with full knowledge and fluency over Arabic upon completion of Level Mohammad so that they are familiar with words present in the Holy Quran which are also used in regular conversation as well as to exercise fluency while speaking the language.

TAJWEED:

This is a subject that frames the whole Islamic learning process. Tajweed is the guideline that administers the pronunciation of Quran recitation. This is incorporated with the Qirat as well as the meaning of the Surahs in the Holy Quran so that at the end of each year the student has not only memorized various Surahs along with the meaning but also has a command over the Qirat (tone) during recitation .

Diniyat:

Islamic history! The essence of Islamic teaching, to know how the religion laid down by Allah (SWT) spread from the first footsteps of Prophet Adam (A.S.) to Khatim Al Ambiya – Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.) & his progeny is defined in our Seerah course. This course has proven to be beneficial in order to strengthen the knowledge and understanding of our students especially when we also incorporate visual based learning such as animated movies based on various Prophets or episodes on historic events. Always interesting and always a winner with the kids!
